The City of Georgetown is a unique coastal community offering a diverse mixture of opportunities for fun and enjoyment.  Our City boasts 300 years of history dating to the late 1600’s.  Revolutionary War Hero the Swamp Fox Francis Marion walked our streets and prowled the nearby countryside ambushing British regulars.  Soon thereafter, Georgetown became the hub of a vast plantation society that led the world’s rice production through the late 19th Century.

Today our harbor is host to pleasure boats, sport fishermen, international shippers and shrimpers.  Fine and casual dining establishments along with specialty retail shops, line Front Street and our Harborwalk.  Georgetown is a business friendly city.  So if you are thinking about locating on the Southeast Coast, please check us out first.
