Welcome to the Georgetown City Fire Department. Here, it’s all about service. Since our founding in 1798, the Georgetown City Fire Department has built a strong reputation for serving the citizens of Georgetown, South Carolina. From fire suppression and emergency medical first response, to our emphasis on fire prevention and safety education, the department has always worked diligently to meet the changing needs of our community. We are currently comprised of 31 career firefighters and 10 volunteer firefighters operating out of 2 stations providing protection for approximately 10,000 residents, many industries and numerous visitors every day. We respond to approximately 3500 calls for service annually including fire, EMS, hazardous materials, water rescue, technical rescue and others. We pride ourselves in being prepared for whatever our citizens and visitors may need from us. Fire Station 1 is located at 1405 Prince Street and Fire Station 2 is located at 2900 S. Fraser Street. Daily staffing consists of 2 engines 1 ladder and 1 Battalion Chief.
